Grant Helps County Sheriff's Purchase New Software
EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Cambria County Sheriff's were lately informed through the Department of Justice they can use remaining money from the previous grant to purchase new software.
The Sheriff's have used exactly the same software system to keep important files and cases for more than 16 years.
"We have been getting difficulties with the present system," stated John Dubnansky the Cambria County Company. "We are dealing with the finish of their helpful existence which funding was readily available for us to obtain a new - up-to-date system," he ongoing.
The leftover money originated from a grant the sheriffs received in April 2010 it can help feet the balance for that new $55,000 software license fee. Next, the sheriff's will need to budget $9,000 annually for that system.
"The grant covers the price instead of us tugging the cash in the general fund," stated Commissioner PJ Stevens.
