Belkasoft Integrates Forensic IM Analyzer with Guidance Software

Belkasoft announces the integration of Forensic IM Analyzer, a forensic tool helping investigators discover and analyze instant messenger conversations, with Guidance Software Encase, the industry-standard all-in-one computer investigation solution. With the integration in place, Encase users can easily access and analyze data produced by Forensic IM Analyzer in their familiar environment.

With the integration of Forensic IM Analyzer into the Encase family of forensic products, Encase users will gain the ability to automate their investigations of Internet chats performed by the suspects and stored locally on PCs under examination. Forensic IM Analyzer can now be seamlessly launched from Encase, collect all possible information on user’s chats and instant messenger communications, and transmit all collected data back into Encase.

The integration became possible with the use of EnScript, the Encase built-in scripting language. Encase users can now access and analyze data extracted by Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer in highly advanced Encase environment. The integration script is available for free to customers with valid Encase and Belkasoft Forensic IM Analyzer or Forensic Studio licenses.

"Many of Belkasoft customers are also Encase users," said Yuri Gubanov, Belkasoft CEO. "These customers will greatly benefit from our integration with Encase, allowing them to combine the power of the two excellent tools."

"With the powerful EnScript programming language, Belkasoft can easily integrate with EnCase, extending the value of their Forensic IM Analyzer product," said Steve Salinas, product marketing manager with Guidance Software. "Now users of the Belkasoft products can take their findings and integrate them into EnCase. As our focus of EnCase Forensic v7 is improved efficiency, we see this integration as yet another great example of how EnScript can help investigators get their job done faster."
